Selectica, a leading provider of business automation software for sales execution and contract management solutions, is looking for a highly motivated and exceptional North East Regional Sales Manager. In that role you will be responsible for solution sales in the areas of contract management and procurement. This position reports to the VP, Sales and Marketing.

This is a sales management position for a professional with a proven track record of enterprise sales, preferably in the application areas of CRM, ERP, business integration and e-business, serving the manufacturing industries. Applications sales experience in contract management solutions and procurement is required.
He/She should have some exposure to J2EE/XML/WebServices and related technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Increase sales and revenue through the execution of the sales strategy in the North East.
- Full responsibility for the entire sales cycle, from customer identification and qualification to negotiating and closing a deal.
- Full accountability for area revenue management, sales forecasting, and reporting.
- Participate in trade shows, training seminars, and other industry related events.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years technology sales (manufacturing, electronics, telecommunications, and/or business software/hardware) with key Fortune 500 accounts selling in at C-level.
- Possesses entrepreneurial orientation and broad-based experience in selling application software products in the areas of contract management and procurement.
- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Understands customer needs, priorities and the value proposition represented by the Selectica.
- Able to develop new business relationships and build upon existing relationships to drive market share.
- Experience delivering successful product demos.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand technology products. Ability to interface effectively with engineering and product marketing.
- Strong communication, presentation. Ability to effectively represent the company to all levels of an organization, especially at the executive level.
- Strong negotiating skills
