Michael Brodsky brings nearly 20 years of experience as an investor, manager, and attorney. Prior to joining Selectica, he was Executive Chairman of the Board and President and CEO of Youbet.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:UBET). At the time of the completion of the sale of Youbet.com to Churchill Downs Incorporated, Michael was elected to the Board of Directors of Churchill Downs (NASDAQ: CHDN). Prior to that, Michael served as the CFO of The Away Network, an online travel media company that owned and managed the sites, Away.com, OutsideOnline.com, and GORP.com. When Orbitz.com and Cendant Corporation acquired The Away Network, Michael became Vice President of Finance in Cendant’s Travel Services Division. Michael is currently a member of Board of Directors of Genesis Land Development Corporation, (TSX: GDC) a leading developer of residential real estate located principally in Canada’s Alberta Province.
Mr. Brodsky holds a B.A. from Syracuse University, a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law, and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Since founding his first enterprise software company while still in his teens, Mathieu brings to Selectica more than 25 years of management experience in sales and marketing, product, operations, business development and acquisitions. Formerly, he was chief products officer at Mindjet, where he led go-to-market and product planning for the company’s transition to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model. Prior to Mindjet, he served as chief marketing officer at Lyris, an innovative provider of SaaS, integrated marketing automation solutions.
Prior to Lyris, Mathieu was general manager for digital media at Corel Corporation and, previously, he worked in research and planning at Adobe Systems and as a senior analyst at Gartner. Mathieu holds an M.B.A. degree in Strategy from Athabasca University in Canada and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Alberta.
With nearly 20 years of experience in finance and accounting at both large and mid-market technology companies, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge (pun intended) to Selectica. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Nomis Solutions, a rapidly growing provider of pricing and profitability management solutions for financial services companies. Prior to that, Todd was Vice President and Corporate Controller at Openwave Systems where he successfully managed the finances of the multi-million-dollar, global organization. Before that, Todd was Vice President of Finance with Metareward, a subsidiary of Experian that focused on online customer acquisition programs for top brand advertisers. Rounding out Todd’s extensive experience in financial operations, planning, and accounting are his previous roles with technology leaders Oblix (acquired by Oracle), Extreme Networks, Aspect Telecommunications, and Applied Materials.
Todd holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the College of Commerce at DePaul University. He is also a licensed CPA in California. Todd is happy to answer questions about investor relations at Selectica as long as they don’t interrupt a Minnesota Twins game.
As Selectica’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeffrey Grosman leads the company’s operational efforts in key areas such as customer experience, marketing, business analytics, and strategic planning. Jeffrey brings over two decades of experience across a wide spectrum of enterprise and consumer-oriented B2C and B2B businesses. Prior to joining Selectica, he served as Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer at Youbet.com (NASDAQ:UBET), prior to that Jeffrey was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Network Solutions Inc. and held senior roles at MCI Telecommunications.
Jeffrey received his MBA in Management and Marketing from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University, and earned his undergraduate degree with a double major in Computer Science and Sociology from Rutgers University. Selectica excepted, Jeff’s dream job would have been getting on the “stairway to heaven” with Led Zeppelin as their top roadie.
Patrick Stakenas, Selectica’s Chief Strategy Officer, has extensive experience in identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends in enterprise software process effectiveness/performance management and cloud computing services. Patrick was most recently at Gartner where he authored key industry research including the Magic Quadrants for Sales Performance Management and Sales Force Automation. His forward-looking research and publications have helped enterprises and software vendors shape and model their go-to-market approaches and future technology offerings. Prior to his time at Gartner, Patrick was the founder of ForceLogix Technologies Inc. (TSXV:FLT , acquired by Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD) which was at the forefront of SaaS applications built to support sales effectiveness and performance.
Patrick is active in charitable organizations and on the Advisory Board for the Depaul, Sales and Management Business School. He has an Executive Management Certificate from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business and a BA in Business Management.
As General Counsel, Art is responsible for overseeing and managing all of Selectica’s legal matters, as well as the company’s human resources affairs. Art advises and works closely with the rest of Selectica’s executive team and Board of Directors. Art served as General Counsel of Iasta prior to becoming General Counsel of Selectica. Before his roles at Selectica and Iasta, Art was a member of the Corporate Group at the law firm of Faegre Baker Daniels where he counseled public and private companies on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and their day-to-day legal needs. Before attending law school, Art was a first grade English teacher at Christel House de México in Mexico City.
Art is a proud graduate of DePauw University and the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (go Tigers and Hoosiers!). When Art’s not working, he loves to travel with his wife and cheer for the Indiana Pacers.
As Chief Sales Officer, Dave is responsible for the global business development and corporate growth strategy for Selectica. His responsibilities include managing the strategic alignment of the sales and alliances organizations within Selectica.
He is a consistent award winner of the “Pros to Know” list published by Supply and Demand Chain Magazine and received the North American Product Line Strategy Award in the Strategic Sourcing Industry from Frost & Sullivan. He is also a widely recognized thought leader, having created the industry’s first wiki, eSourcing Wiki, and the industry-influencing blog, eSourcing Forum. As a much sought after speaker, Dave has participated in many Webinars, panel discussions and industry conferences.
Dave graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington and is part of Butler University’s Corporate and Executive Education program. In addition to his professional duties, Dave volunteers his time as the Chairman for the Business Administration Advisory Council of Ivy Tech College.
Eric Faulkner is Selectica’s Chief Information Officer in charge of overseeing three key technology and customer delivery teams, including professional services, process management, and quality assurance. Prior to joining Selectica, Eric was the CIO for Federated Sports + Gaming, and Vice President of PMO (Project Management Office) and Quality Assurance at Network Solutions, where he coordinated all program management activities for the Software Engineering department. Eric began his career at Accenture, where he was a manager in Accenture’s technology consulting practice.
Eric holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech, and graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, focusing on research methodology and quantitative analysis with a minor in Business Administration. Eric is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Eric’s other unofficial role is “collector of experiences” as an avid world traveler.
Leo Sigal, Selectica’s Chief Technology Officer is responsible for developing the overall technology Vision for the company, as well as implementing the technical strategy and product roadmap. In this role he oversees cross-company initiatives and collaboration in R&D, Product Management, IT and Technical Operations functions. Before taking on the CTO position, Leo served as both Director of Quality Engineering and Head of Engineering. Prior to joining Selectica, he led quality engineering efforts for the Process Applications group at Software AG, and was one of the first employees at Evite where he was involved in a variety of technical functions including quality assurance, IT and operations.
Leo holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Ukraine. His technical proficiency also extends to the kitchen; he almost became a professional chef.
Jason, Selectica’s Chief Customer Officer, leads the Selectica Account Management and Client Services teams. Jason brings 15 years of experience in enterprise supply management software and is a seven-time award winner of the “Pro-to-Know” list published by Supply and Demand Chain Magazine.
In addition to his global recognition by industry peers, Jason is passionate about ensuring that all customers have the resources to operate best-in-class sourcing, procurement, and contract management organizations. Always client-focused, he is committed to ensuring an optimal user experience.
Jason earned his degree in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington and is a diehard IU Basketball fan. He is an active volunteer with Junior Achievement, and likes to compete in road races and triathlons.
Todd is the Chief Performance Officer, responsible for business intelligence, including monitoring and managing Selectica’s performance according to key performance indicators. In addition, Todd leads Selectica’s Product Development for Supply Management.
Before his role at Selectica and Iasta, Todd was co-founder of EcoSearch Environmental Resources, Inc. where he was responsible for the development of an industry-leading environmental GIS data warehouse. EcoSearch was eventually merged into Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF) as a backbone of environmental risk data delivery.
Todd received his degree in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington and participates in the Corporate and Executive Education program at Butler University. He is a dedicated soccer dad traveling all over the Midwest with his two sons.
As General Manager of the Configuration Business Unit, Rob’s team is responsible for helping customers and prospects get maximum value from Selectica’s Configurator… the most flexible and powerful configuration software platform in the world. These companies accelerate and increase their revenue, while ensuring quote accuracy by combining the right products, services and prices every single time.
As one of Selectica’s earliest team members in 1998, Rob has un-paralleled experience in sales and operations in the configuration marketplace. Previously at Selectica, he personally delivered the majority of Selectica’s premier configuration (CPQ) customers, led the sales teams, and was VP & GM of Selectica’s eInsurance Business Unit.
Rob Co-founded his first computer company when he was just 18, and has a Business Degree from Daytona State College. Previously, he has held executive positions at Savvion, AXS-One, Connectbeam and InterTech.
Rose Lee, Senior Vice President of Marketing, oversees Selectica’s brand, marketing communications, distribution channel management, analyst and public relations, marketing research and emerging market and customer demands while maintaining the “voice of the customer” in everything we do. With over two decades of diversified experience with Fortune 100 companies, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, Rose has successfully delivered on market and customer needs in sales, brand management, marketing segmentation, and product management for a broad range of companies, including MCI Telecommunications, Sprint/Nextel, Youbet.com, and Vistage International.
Rose received her B.S. in Marketing from San Diego State University, and is a cultural triple threat: foodie, sommelier, and aspiring yogi. Namaste!
