Jason is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Selectica, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall strategic direction, planning, and execution. Under Jason’s leadership, Selectica has successfully transitioned to a SaaS business model, dramatically reduced overhead, and established itself as a leader in multiple product categories. Jason has also led the company’s development of strategic go-to-market relationships with Salesforce.com and EMC, and he currently sits on the EMC Documentum Partner Advisory Board.
Prior to joining Selectica in 2006, Jason was Vice President of Product Management at iMANY, where he was responsible for the product direction of the Contract Management and Revenue Commitment Management product suites. His 15+ years of experience in the high-tech industry also include a four-year stint at Oracle managing products in the CRM, Call Center, and Finance realms.
Jason holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a self-proclaimed “chef trapped in an executive’s body.”
With nearly 20 years of experience in finance and accounting at both large and mid-market technology companies, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge (pun intended) to Selectica. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Nomis Solutions, a rapidly growing provider of pricing and profitability management solutions for financial services companies. Prior to that, Todd was Vice President and Corporate Controller at Openwave Systems where he successfully managed the finances of the multi-million-dollar, global organization. Before that, Todd was Vice President of Finance with Metareward, a subsidiary of Experian that focused on online customer acquisition programs for top brand advertisers. Rounding out Todd’s extensive experience in financial operations, planning, and accounting are his previous roles with technology leaders Oblix (acquired by Oracle), Extreme Networks, Aspect Telecommunications, and Applied Materials.
Todd holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the College of Commerce at DePaul University. He is also a licensed CPA in California. Todd is happy to answer questions about investor relations at Selectica as long as they don’t interrupt a Minnesota Twins game.
Kamal is the Chief Strategy Officer at Selectica, where he heads product strategy, product management, and innovation. He rejoined Selectica in 2011, and brings more than twenty years of experience driving global business success with a range of innovative technologies. Earlier in his career, Kamal served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Selectica, where the company leaned heavily on his sales configuration expertise—the same expertise that is helping direct innovation and product development at Selectica today. Kamal has also held leadership positions at Oracle, Apple, RadioMail, Model N, Neev Labs, and golf courses where he is a bogey golfer with a tremendous upside.
Kamal holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Utah State, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee.
As Chief Operating Officer at Selectica, Leonard oversees all business operations in engineering, support, and professional services. With more than two decades of experience in enterprise software, he was most recently Group Vice President of Product Development and Technology for the Tax and Utilities global business unit at Oracle, where he led a team of 500+ product development professionals around the world. Prior to that, Leonard was Executive Vice President of Products and Engineering at Rapt, Inc., a provider of advertising yield management and media monetization solutions that was acquired by Microsoft. Before that, Leonard was Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Products at iMANY, and he served in management positions at Manugistics and Peoplesoft.
Leonard holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Odessa, Ukraine, and he has played the Fillmore. Three times. No joke.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Doug is responsible for developing and executing key sales and marketing initiatives, particularly those relating to the development of new markets and the scaling of organizations in high-growth markets. Doug brings extensive experience in strategic planning, channel program development, and the marketing of cloud-based solutions. Prior to joining Selectica, Doug led marketing, business development, and inside sales as Vice President of Marketing and Alliances at Arena Solutions, served as Senior Product and Marketing Manager—Invoice and Network Services at Ariba, and was Director of Product Marketing at iMANY. Doug has a particularly good understanding of the needs of Selectica customers, as he served as the company’s Vice President of Marketing earlier in his career.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Drexel University.
A renowned adventurer, author, and inventor, Doug performed the first solo-cross of the Pacific Ocean in a sea kayak, has penned several best-selling novels, and is credited with inventing the internal combustion engine. He is also the only member of the team who was allowed to write his own bio.
As Chief Technology Officer at Selectica, Steve is responsible for the company’s overall technical strategy and roadmap. He brings to the company more than 20 years of experience designing and building software, with extensive expertise in high-availability 24/7 systems, large-scale enterprise application performance and tuning, and distributed heterogeneous data and metadata management. (Phew!) Prior to joining Selectica, Steve was Chief Architect at Saba Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s J2EE technology platform for Learning, Performance, Talent, Collaboration and Content Management. Before that, he was an Architect at Epiphany, Inc. (now part of Infor Global Solutions), where he helped design the company’s next-generation architecture for outbound marketing and real-time, self-learning, data-mining products. His previous experience includes management roles at Allstate and Oracle. Steve also holds several U.S. patents.
Steve holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he also learned that the computer is just a glorified pencil.
As Vice President of Engineering, Leo oversees all software engineering functions at Selectica, including research, development, quality engineering, and sustaining engineering. He previously served as both Director of Quality Engineering and Head of Engineering at Selectica. Prior to joining Selectica, Leo led quality engineering efforts for the Process Applications group at Software AG, and was one of the first employees at Evite, where he was involved in a variety of technical functions including quality assurance, IT, and operations.
Leo holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Ukraine, and almost became a professional chef.
As Vice President of Marketing, Jennifer oversees all corporate, product, and online marketing at Selectica, including branding, awareness, pipeline development, field events, and customer programs. Drawing on her extensive experience marketing cloud-based software solutions, she’s focused on bringing Selectica solutions to new markets while ensuring that customers and other stakeholders get the most out of their Selectica experience. Before joining Selectica, Jennifer served as Senior Director of Marketing at Arena Solutions, where she capped off a decade-long tenure focused variously on all major marketing functions by launching a number of social media, content marketing, and customer and community programs. As the founding member of the department at Arena, she was also pivotal in building the company’s marketing organization and defining its brand. Previously, Jennifer held marketing roles in a number of non-profit, agency, and corporate organizations, where her work focused primarily on engaging and involving customer audiences.
Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Civilization from Brown University. Don’t challenge her to a hula hooping contest. She’ll win.
As Vice President of Alliances, Jim guides partner strategy and drives channel sales for Selectica. His 15+ years of experience in enterprise software include multiple stints at SAP, most recently as a Senior Director in the Solution Ecosystem and Partner Group. That role marked Jim’s return to SAP after the company acquired Frictionless Commerce, where Jim was responsible for all partner and channel revenue. Prior to Frictionless/SAP, Jim held numerous partner strategy and product management roles at iMANY, SAP, and Kellogg’s. (“Hey, leggo my…”)
Jim holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College. For Jim, there’s no business like snow business—he’s kind of a big deal on skis.
As Vice President of Professional Services, Technical Operations, Rajesh is responsible for global roll-outs of multi-product, integrated solutions for strategic accounts. He also manages the support organization that helps make sure Selectica customers get the most out of their solutions. His 20+ years of experience in engineering and professional services include more than a decade at Selectica, where he has been instrumental in the success of sales configuration customers like Cisco, IBM, ABB, and Fujitsu.
Prior to joining Selectica, Rajesh delivered solutions to companies in the manufacturing, healthcare, and financial industries, including Health Systems Design (now part of Dell), IPC Kodak, and Tata Group. In an earlier role at Boston Management Consultants, Rajesh was responsible for developing and delivering training programs for large technology consulting firms.
Rajesh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bombay and is very active in the realm of complex project management and operations, not to mention portrait photography.
